WHAT IS A STUD BOOK?
A Stud Book is a valued resource of breeders to locate available breeding stock open to the public. These are dogs standing at stud or bitches open for breeding with other kennels. This stud book lists dogs whom are well finished from around the sims dog communities. These dogs are primarily owned by, bred by, or created by(foundations only) Rosepoint Kennel, Guiding Lights Kennel and Blue Ridge Blueticks.
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
Dogs in this stud book are only individuals who meet the following requirements.
- Must be 5 Years of age or older
- Must be in-tact and able to breed
- Must have genetic testing(at minimum; known color genetics)
- Must have a minimum of 1 Conformation title from at least 1 club that is obtained in Open level type events. Not puppy, junior or intermediate titles.
- May have a working or sporting title or certification
- Non-Foundations should have a well written pedigree that can be verified (if possible)
